Members
The Members of the Trust established the academy trust. They form the highest level of the governance of the Trust, acting as the ‘guardians’ of the Trust and having an overview of its governance arrangements.

Gavin Robinson
Gavin is Chair of the Members of the EPA. He has been an Appointed Governor at Bartholomew since February 2011, is Chair of the Strategic Resources & Financial Management Committee and a member of the Teaching, Learning & Outcomes Committee. He is a Chartered Accountant and Corporate Treasurer and works in Corporate Development for a FTSE 250 UK listed international distribution business with headquarters in London.
Jo Godsal
Jo is Clinical Director and Ofsted Registered Manager for a large therapy provider, responsible for therapists working nationwide with adopted children who have experienced trauma and attachment difficulties, as well as in education, healthcare and social care.
Rev David Tyler
David is Archdeacon of Dorchester and is on the Board of Members representing the Oxford Diocese. David was previously Rector of Hanborough and Freeland and a governor at both Freeland C of E Primary and Hanborough Manor CE Primary and through his role as Rector had regular contact with both Freeland and Hanborough C of E Primary schools. David has two children who have attended Hanborough school and Bartholomew school. Prior to being ordained David worked as a Chartered Accountant for a large firm in London.
Jonathan Marks
Jonathan joined the Board of Members in March 2018.
He retired in late 2025 from successive Project Management roles in different charity organisations within the armed forces charity sector - Mission Motorsport, Royal British Legion, Help for Heroes and Poppy Factory - mostly with a focus on transition and employment of veterans. He managed the National Transition Event, and worked for a collaboration WIS Veterans Employment Group. He had previously worked in different roles at the University of Oxford, finishing as a Project Manager in IT Services.
Jonathan's three children all attended Eynsham Primary School and Bartholomew School, where he served as a Governor for many years.
Gordon Joyner
Gordon is the Diocesan Corporate Member. He is Deputy Director of Education at the Oxford Diocesan Board of Education (ODBE) with responsibility for procuring major capital projects and new schools, managing school organisation, academy conversions & developments, financial planning and monitoring as well as project management, admission & appeals and school legal matters.
The ODBE has 284 schools across Oxon, Bucks & Berks and Gordon is involved with 22 MATs and 7 SATs as a corporate Member. The ODBE appoints directors/ members and governors to nearly all of these MATs and schools.
